MEMORIAL DAY BREAKFAST AT THE SHUELS

The GYC Memorial Day Breakfast hosted by Steve and Kathy Shuel was extremely well attended. We took time to remember those that died or were injured protecting our country. We also thanked, with a long period of applause, those present that served in the military.   We also introduced and welcomed new lot owners. And of course we caught up with each other at the beginning of another season at the lake.  All while enjoying the park-like venue of the Shuels’ lakefront, great weather and tasty breakfast delicacies prepared by 240 Sweet Artisan Foodworks.  Thanks very much to Steve and Kathy Shuel!

SPRING SOCIAL: NEWCOMERS WARMLY WELCOMED, SEASON KICKED OFF

A large crowd attended the GYC’s Spring Social and Newcomer Welcome hosted for the second year in a row by Kevin Preuss and Lisa Duret.  Newcomers to the lake were warmly welcomed by an enthusiastic crowd as they were introduced individually. A massive spread of delicious appetizers and desserts brought by all was well consumed.  Thanks very much to Kevin and Lisa for hosting us at their beautiful home.  Thanks also to those that helped prepare and clean up, and to Mimi Riffle for greeting everyone and renewing their 2016 memberships.  You can still join, renew or if you are new to the lake, be introduced at the Holiday Breakfasts.
